Selected work
Filed — Which employers actually file H-1B paperwork for entry-level roles, and at what pay — 2.1 million Labor Condition Applications read straight from the Department of Labor's disclosure files, where every figure carries the file and row count behind it and anything missing is labelled missing rather than rendered as zero. (Python, DuckDB, Next.js, Neon Postgres)
The Rock — The campus noticeboard at Roanoke College, with a screen around it — dining menus scraped live from the college's own feed with per-dish macros, plus a marketplace, ride board, events and course reviews. Installable, dark-first, and clear on every screen that it is a student project and not the college's. (Next.js, Prisma, Neon Postgres, PWA)
Duolingo Teardown — How one app is built to bring you back, read out of a single shipped APK: the streak's day boundary and repair logic, notification copy by tone, the energy and gem economy, and an inventory of 442 experiment flags. Every claim carries a pointer and a confidence level, nothing was run against Duolingo's servers, and no decompiled code is published. (JADX, Apktool, Python)
Footnote — Company analysis from SEC filings where the model never types a number — it cites facts by token, each figure links to the 10-K it came from, and a verifier rejects any report with one it can't trace. (Python, SEC EDGAR XBRL, Streamlit)
Marginal — The real marginal tax rate for a retiree on Social Security — Social Security's taxation torpedo, capital gains stacking, the senior deduction phase-out, and Medicare's IRMAA cliffs, drawn as one curve instead of a bracket table. (Rust, WebAssembly, TypeScript)
Crypto Trend Filter — A daily BTC/ETH bot that holds while each asset is above its 50-day average and sits in cash below it, sized down automatically when volatility spikes. Chosen on 2018–22 data and then left alone on 2023–26: 37% a year out of sample against a 26% drawdown, where buy-and-hold drew down 77%. Paper money only, standard library only, no API keys. (Python, GitHub Actions, Telegram)
AgentVouch — A payment agent that checks who it's actually paying before any money moves — sealed identity, liveness and a signed quote verified against GoDaddy's ANS transparency log, with a hash-chained ledger anchored on Solana. Built with a team. (Go, GoDaddy ANS, Solana)
KLIMB — Digital SAT preparation. A tagged question bank, per-skill mastery measured from a student's own attempts, and a study plan built backwards from their test date. (Next.js, Postgres, Auth.js)
Jurat OS — A personal life operating system: net worth that updates itself from live metal and equity prices, budgets, habits, tasks, and a Telegram bot that logs an expense from a sentence. (Next.js, Supabase, Telegram)
PolyaBor — Find and book football pitches across Uzbekistan — search by time and neighbourhood, hold a slot, pay, and get the confirmation in Telegram. (React, Supabase, Telegram Mini App)
NAV — A guide to Uzbekistan's startup ecosystem — who is building what, which funds are active, and where a founder actually starts. (React, Vite, Tailwind)
NAVON Agency — Brand and site for a creative agency — a single long scroll that has to carry the whole pitch on its own. (React, Vite, Tailwind)
BiteWise — Nutrition tracking that starts from what you actually ate: describe the meal in plain language and it resolves the macros behind it. (Next.js, AI parsing)
Agora Aid Program — A full-scholarship admissions programme for the Class of 2031. Deliberately built with no framework and no build step — plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript. (HTML, CSS, Vanilla JS)
